First aid for children - learn to help through play

In our district, we support the creation of coloring and work books that are given out free of charge to primary school children. Here, child-friendly questions on first aid, traffic education, social interaction and other topics are regularly dealt with and conveyed.

What do I do if I have burns, a tick bite or poisoning? And above all: How can I help others in an emergency? Ms. District Administrator Stephanie Ladwig and K&L Verlag have set themselves the goal of answering these questions in a child-friendly manner and have published an easy-to-understand painting and work book for girls and boys of primary school age. We think: this is a good thing!

That is why we support the project

The book, with lots of pictures to be colored in, playfully conveys the skills needed to provide first aid in emergencies. It tells of the siblings Mario and Olivia, who lead Waldi through various episodes together with their dachshund. On 32 pages they give tips and advice on burns, heat stroke, tick bites, poisoning or shocks. In this way, the children receive age-appropriate knowledge so that they can behave correctly in an emergency and call for help. At the same time, educators and parents can discuss and practice the illustrations with the children.

With the support of many local companies, the coloring books and workbooks can be distributed free of charge to primary school children in the Plön district.
